Christmas Greeting from Bill Frank
A Merry Christmas to you and your families. I hope that you have a blessed and joyous holiday and a peaceful and productive New Year. Welcome to my inaugural e-newsletter! This one will be brief due to the Christmas holidays, but subsequent newsletters will provide updated campaign information as well as legislative updates throughout the 2010 General Assembly session any beyond. Your feedback is always encouraged and welcomed. The 2010 General Assembly session begins at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 13th. Marylanders, hold onto your wallets because legislators will shortly be back in town! Despite the severe recession and the largest tax increase in Maryland's history enacted two short years ago, we're hearing rumblings of more taxes on the horizon, including an increase in the alcohol tax. Several of my liberal colleagues are even talking about higher taxes on upper income individuals. Didn't we just do that? Election year is upon us, so be prepared for some crazy happenings in Annapolis. I'll try to keep you updated through these newsletter posts. I have several bills being drafted, which I'll describe next time. Until then, enjoy the Christmas holidays with your loved ones. Thank you for the privilege of representing the 42nd district in the Maryland House of Delegates.
